Project Description

A 10 yard dumpster holds 10 cubic yards of waste. A 10 yard container is the right dumpster size for smaller project cleanups. The loading capacity is equivalent to grouping together 10 standard-sized kitchen stoves, as a  3 ft. x 3 ft. x 3 ft. stove measures about 1 cubic yard.

What would fit in a 10 yard dumpster?

  • Garage, shed, or attic cleanout
  • 250 square foot deck removal
  • 20 to 25 square (2,000 to 2,500 square feet) of roofing shingles (single layer)
  • Small kitchen or bathroom remodeling project
  • Concrete or dirt removal (1 cubic yard of dry concrete/dirt weighs approximately 1 ton)
  • Getting rid of junk during a move
  • Throwing out about a single-car-garage worth of household trash
